Having successfully participated in the supply of inverter-duty transformers for more than ten large solar installations over the past seven years, Reliable Transformers is a leader in the renewables sector in South Africa and beyond.

 

We were awarded our first contract in 2015 to supply all the inverter transformers for an 86MW solar pv plant, the largest in SA at the time, in the Northern Cape province. The plant was commissioned in May 2016, on time and on budget.

Since then we have produced inverter and auxiliary transformers for several solar plants, the largest being three adjacent solar installations near Kimberley, totaling an output capacity of 258MW, currently the largest single installation in SA.

We also produce self-contained, container enclosed or skid mounted mini solar substations for smaller solar applications.
