SWER transformers are special transformers, mainly used in rural areas, to cost effectively supply electricity to remote areas.

SWER applications utilise only a single overhead power line to deliver power. The return path is provided by a grounded earth connection.

​

Reliable Transformers has already produced SWER transformers for many applications, mainly in Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia.
